Our Fours Program is a language-rich environment that is designed for kindergarten readiness. Through listening skills, routine and following directions, self-help skills are reinforced in the Fours. Experiential play activities encourage creativity and self-expression. Field trips into the community provide opportunities for the children to develop responsibility while enhancing the curriculum.
Visits into the classroom by professionals from the community promote understanding of the world in which they live. A science curriculum encourages wonder and curiosity. Many books, both narrative and informational, are presented to the children in order to promote reading readiness.
Fours meet for 3 1/2 hours each day, 5 days per week, with an optional two-day curriculum-based extended day program that adds 1 1/4 hours to the day and hones in on Kindergarten readiness skills. Lunch is incorporated into every class day.
