Our Fours Program is a language-rich environment that is designed for kindergarten readiness. Through listening skills, routine and following directions, self-help skills are reinforced in the Fours. Experiential play activities encourage creativity and self-expression. Field trips into the community provide opportunities for the children to develop responsibility while enhancing the curriculum.
Visits into the classroom by professionals from the community promote understanding of the world in which they live. A science curriculum encourages wonder and curiosity. Many books, both narrative and informational, are presented to the children in order to promote reading readiness.
Lunch is an integral part of each Fours day, providing priceless opportunity for social skills and community building.
Fours meet from 8:45 – 12:15, 5 days per week in the fall. In the winter the schedule extends to a 1:30 dismissal on Tuesdays. Come spring another long day is added, with both Tuesdays and Thursdays dismissing at 1:30. Fours also have the option of enrolling in our After School Fun program on 12:15 dismissal days.
