Fours
Our Fours language-rich environment creates a program designed for kindergarten readiness. Listening, following routines and directions, and self-help skills are reinforced. Experiential play activities encourage creativity and self-expression. Field trips into the community provide opportunities for the children to develop responsibility while enhancing the curriculum.
In addition, visits into the classroom by professionals from the community promote understanding of the world in which they live. A science curriculum encourages wonder and curiosity. Many books, both narrative and informational, are available for the children in order to promote reading readiness.
Extended day opportunities are available two, three or five afternoons a week from 11:45 until 1:40 for those children who are ready for a longer day experience and more time to explore their world in more depth. Enrollment in the extended day programs is for the entire school year.
